Forecast: Showers Ending This Afternoon

I suppose if we're going to have rain fall it might as well do so early on a Friday and leave us with a nice weekend. That's precisely what's going to happen for today, with all the shower activity concentrated during the morning. There may be some temporary street flooding during some of the heaviest downpours, so allow yourself some extra time as you travel about. We will slowly start to dry out this evening and that will set us up for a nice weekend.

The forecast is pretty simple — Saturday and Sunday feature generally sunny skies, although there may be a little bit of fog and low clouds to start the day Saturday.

Temperatures will be mild to begin the weekend and then cool off about 5 or 6 degrees for Sunday. It's still early for foliage viewing, although there is the scattered tree here and there that has some nice color. For the most part we're going to have to wait at least two more weeks before we see a lot of color and if we continue to see these humid days, then the color will tend to be muted.

Next week the humidity and warmth will try to run northward into our area but high pressure in Canada may prevent it from doing so for more than a day or two. The forecast is certainly a bit murky early next week and will need to sort this out during the weekend.
