The MLS championship game will take place on Sunday at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California, wrapping up what one Sports Illustrated writer has dubbed "The most non-nonsensical postseason to date."

The star-studded Los Angeles Galaxy will take on the underdog Houston Dynamo. Sports Illustrated's Grant Wahl joins Only A Game this week to preview the match-up.

The Galaxy are the proud owners of the best regular season record in the league, while the Dynamo are coming off a hot end to the season and a five-game winning streak. Both teams, however, will be missing important players in the game. Houston's Brad Davis is out with a torn right quadricep muscle and Chad Barrett will miss the MLS Cup after dislocating his right ankle in practice last week.

According to Wahl, L.A. is still favored to win despite the key injury to their starting forward.

"They are a deeper team. And losing Barrett, while not a good thing, isn't as tough as Houston losing Brad Davis...so we'll see," Wahl says. "But Houston actually won the semifinal game without Brad Davis on the field for most of that game. I think Houston has a better chance this game than most people would give them, even though L.A. is still the favorite."
