Those of us living outside of Las Vegas may have been dubious when we learned sports franchises would be coming to the city. How would they thrive relying on transient tourists to attend games and sustain ticket sales?

Sports on Earth's Will Leitch recently attended a Golden Knights hockey game, though, and he says this perception is mostly wrong — Vegas is full of civic pride.
