LeBron James recently opened his I Promise School for at-risk students in Akron, Ohio public schools. And after a CNN interview in which James criticized President Trump, Trump assailed the NBA star on Twitter. Trump has attacked black athletes before, and Tyler Tynes says it's something we're going to continue to see so long as Trump is president.

Also, 2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Terrell Owens decided to break with tradition by celebrating his enshrinement at a personal event in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In response, the NFL is considering a new rule requiring players to attend the festivities in Canton, Ohio. Don Van Natta Jr. is not a fan of that plan.

And the Cleveland Browns' quarterback corps, including recent No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield, is sharing an RV during training camp. Nora Princiotti thinks this must be a turning point for the perpetually troubled franchise.
