City Council Begins Debate On Firefighter Raises

The Boston City Council begins debate Wednesday on the pricey arbitration deal announced last week, which, if ratified would grant firefighters in the city a 19 percent pay raise over four years.

City Council President Mike Ross told WBUR he would not vote for the contract, as it stands now.
