A new Boston Globe poll yields good news for the Massachusetts GOP. Sen. Scott Brown, with a 55 percent favorability rating, is the the most popular politician in the state.

Republican gubernatorial candidate Charles Baker, while still trailing Democratic incumbent Deval Patrick, is making steady gains, with 31 percent support to Patrick's 38 percent. At the same time, Gov. Patrick's own favorability is climbing.

Is the wave of anti-incumbency still crashing toward November, or do these numbers represent a momentary blip?

This program aired on June 28, 2010.
