Gym-goers might have noticed the line for the treadmill a little longer than usual Monday morning, thanks to everyone out there who has made exercising more often a New Year's resolution.

Sure, the extra wait may have been frustrating, but any personal trainer will tell you to give it a few weeks. Each January, they say, their gyms see a hoard of new members sign up, only for the rush to quickly fizzle out on their fitness goals for the year.

As the new year gets underway, one Brookline trainer shared a few tips with Radio Boston's Jason Breslow on how to stick to that resolution.
