But after what was to be a one-off show at the Someville Armory sold out in just a few days, Fogel realized he was on to something. And thus, Neutral Uke Hotel was born.

Fogel and his regular band, Golden Bloom, are gearing up for a brief tour this month, which is kicking of Wednesday night at the Brighton Music Hall.

We sit down with Fogel on the morning of the show to talk about how that Neutral Milk Hotel album touched so many indie-hearts, including his own.

Guest:

  • Shawn Fogel, Neutral Uke Hotel

This segment aired on April 20, 2011.
