The town of Monson in western Massachusetts is still rebuilding after it was hit hard by a tornado during the summer of 2011.

Now there's a new threat: As Hurricane Sandy approaches New England, we speak to Monson resident Caitria O'Neill to find out what lessons the town has learned about how to prepare for and cope with natural disasters.

O'Neill was standing in her front yard when the tornado barreled through Monson and along with her sister Morgan, worked tirelessly to coordinate volunteers and aid. Using that grassroots experience, the sisters formed recovers.org, a subscription-based program which provides disaster relief community software.
