Resume

In New England, contemporary art lovers who need a dose of new art can go in several directions — heading east to Boston's Institute of Contemporary Art, or west to Mass MoCA in North Adams.

Now, they can also head north. There's a new museum of contemporary art in Reading, Vt. The Hall Art Foundation, which sits on the grounds of an old dairy farm, opened just this past weekend. It features a new exhibition by the Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson. It's the subject of this week's ARTery segment, where we talk to artists, critics and curators about what's exciting them in the local arts scene.

Guest

Sebastian Smee, Pulitzer Prize-winning art critic for The Boston Globe. He tweets at @SebastianSmee.

This segment aired on May 8, 2014.
