Safr is a ride-hailing app whose mission it is to provide safe transportation and jobs for women.

The Boston-based company has about 100 drivers out on the road with about 1,000 more being processed. Right now, the app is only available to customers in the Boston area. Its launch comes at time when bigger ride-hailing companies like Uber are under fire for issues of sexual harassment.
