Executive Order Puts Clean Power Plan in Jeopardy
ResumePresident Trump is expected to sign an executive order that would roll back President Obama's signature energy policy, the Clean Power Plan, which requires a more than 30 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions from power plants by 2030.
The Clean Power Plan has been controversial and is currently being challenged in court by 28 states. It has been on hold since last year while a federal appeals court considered a challenge by the states.
