Confronting Sexual Harassment On Beacon Hill
ResumeA report over the weekend by The Boston Globe has allegations from a dozen women who said they were sexually harassed at the State House over the last two decades.
The reactions from state legislators have been swift. House Speaker Robert DeLeo said he is "infuriated and deeply disturbed" and has ordered a review of the House's policies around sexual harassment. Senate President Stan Rosenberg has said the Senate employee handbook "includes a comprehensive anti-harassment policy."
And Gov. Charlie Baker said there is a zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment and that he planned to order his staff to review their policy as well.
