The Nutcracker's Origin Story Revealed In 'Hiddensee'

Local author Gregory Maguire has tackled a holiday classic in his latest fairytale re-telling. His novel "Hiddensee," gives us the origin story of Herr Drosslemeier, the toymaker who carves the enchanted nutcracker for his god-daughter, Clara.
