Senate Votes To End Government Shutdown

The Senate has voted on a spending bill to reopen the federal government, the first step to ending the federal shutdown. Republican Majority Leader Mitch McConnell promised Democrats an open debate on immigration in exchange for an end to the three-day shutdown.
