CommonHealth: Beyond Types 1 And 2 Diabetes

More than 100 million Americans have diabetes or pre-diabetes, according to the Centers for Disease Control. If current trends continue, the CDC estimates that one in three Americans could have diabetes by 2050.

We're used to thinking about diabetes as being two types, but researchers are now suggesting diabetes should be divided into five different types.
