Regulating Short Term Rentals In Boston

The Boston City Council has been looking at ways to regulate the short term rental industry for more than two years. Last week, that debate took a personal turn, when the short term rental platform Airbnb sent an email to thousands of its users that went after Boston City Councilor Michelle Wu by name, calling her proposals "unreasonable." The company issued a statement later in the day that labeled her plan "anti-tenant, anti-middle class."
