Alanis Morissette's 1995 album "Jagged Little Pill" is the inspiration for a musical having its world premiere at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge.

The musical combines Morissette's emotionally sharp lyrics with the story of a Connecticut family struggling with many of the issues and ills of 2018.

"Jagged Little Pill" runs at the American Repertory Theater through July 15.

Guest

Diane Paulus, artistic director at the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, which tweets @americanrep.
