Boston Nonprofit Head In Line To Be Interim BPS Superintendent

The head of a Boston education nonprofit is likely to become the the interim leader of Boston Publics Schools, after Superintendent Tommy Chang announced his resignation last week, ending his tenure just three years in.

Laura Perille is the president of EdVestors, a nonprofit that works to improve education for Boston student. In a statement, Mayor Marty Walsh and School Committee Chairman Michael Loconto praised Perille as a "longtime school improvement advocate, BPS parent and an experienced school system partner."
