Boston City Councilor Ayanna Pressley had a decisive victory over popular 10-term incumbent Congressman Mike Capuano, which came as a slight surprise, as the last official poll in the race — a WBUR poll conducted at the end of July -- Capuano was leading Pressley by 13 points.

How did this race end up so drastically different from what we were expecting and were there signs that the tide was turning?
