The manager of the morgue at Harvard Medical School was arrested for being part of a nationwide network buying and selling human remains that came from the facility he was supposed to oversee.

The case has revealed gaping holes in oversight in some of our regulatory framework around custody of human remains, and in consistent ethical standards.
