Gourmet Kreyol started out as a food truck specializing in Haitian Creole cuisine.

Now, thanks to local incubator and communal space Commonwealth Kitchen as well as a contract from the state, the food company is making Creole food for families in the emergency shelter system, many of them Haitian themselves.

Radio Boston checks in with Nathalie Lecorps, the owner and head chef at Gourmet Kreyol, and Dr. Geralde Gabeau, executive director of the Immigrant Family Services Institute, about the latest on Haitian migrants coming to Massachusetts and Lecorps' mission to feed them.

This segment aired on November 15, 2023.
