Resume

Boston's known pretty well for its pro basketball, but a new book makes the case that we should be much better known for college hoops in the 1980s.

That's when three future Hall of Fame coaches — Jim Calhoun, Rick Pitino and Gary Williams — cut their teeth at Northeastern, Boston University and Boston College, respectively. The coaches brought forth a faster, scrappier and athletic game that eventually paved the way for how the NBA plays today.

Clayton Trutor, author of the book "Boston Ball," joins the show to discuss.

This segment aired on December 4, 2023.
