Spot a 9-year-old Brockton actress in 'Good Burger 2'

Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell are back with a sequel to the '90s cult classic movie "Good Burger." And this one has some local ties — it's filmed in Providence and features a 9-year-old from Brockton.

Alexis Turner, of Brockton, plays Ketchup, the daughter of one of the main characters in "Good Burger 2."

Ed, played by Mitchell, introduces her as his "third favorite" child, to which Thompson's character quickly responds: "You can't say that." (Spot Turner in the clip below around the 26-second mark.)

Despite the temporary frown she dons in the scene, Turner told WBUR's Radio Boston that she loved being in the film, which she calls her "big movie."

"It was just a fun experience and a fun moment," said Turner.

Her mom, Antoinette Toney, said she always knew that Turner would someday go into the entertainment industry based on her personality. But after some nudging from a coworker, Toney submitted her daughter's information to a talent agency that signed her on the spot.

Turner has modeled and acted for a handful of projects, including posing for the Furby toy box. But this is her biggest project to date.

Toney said seeing her daughter in this movie was a "surreal" experience, as she had grown up watching the original "Good Burger" movie and television show.

After the movie was released, Toney said she has felt support from both Brockton and Dorchester, where she and her daughter lived previously.
