Massachusetts gun laws could soon get tougher.

Last week, the state Senate followed the House in passing a gun bill that would crack down on untraceable "ghost guns" and ban weapons from certain public areas and government buildings. The differences between the two bills now need to be worked out before the proposed legislation is sent to Gov. Healey's desk for final approval.

WBUR state politics reporter Walter Wuthmann joins Radio Boston to break down the proposed legislation.

This segment aired on February 5, 2024.
