Grammy Award-winning singer Aoife O’Donovan's new music uses folk sounds to critique America's its slow journey toward fully recognizing the rights of women. Her upcoming album, "All My Friends," looks back on the 100 years since women earned the right to vote in the United States to show listeners that the struggle is far from over.

The Newton-born musician joined Radio Boston to talk about her latest album and why she says we can't leave our battles to "the daughters of our daughters."
