Sharon Brody is the voice of WBUR's weekends. On Saturdays and Sundays, she's your WBUR host for Weekend Edition and other popular programs.
During the week, she frequently anchors the midday and afternoon news shifts. She also reports features, and contributes essays to Cognoscenti. She originated WBUR's CitySpace StoryTime, a virtual read-aloud series.
A Boston radio veteran, Brody's experience includes more than a decade as Morning Edition anchor at WGBH and a long stint as morning news anchor, news director and features editor at WFNX.
Her humorous essays and features for broadcast and print have permeated WFNX, Marketplace, Monitor Radio, TV 38, the Boston Phoenix and other outlets. She also was a co-founder of Boston's award-winning radio sketch comedy troupe, No Soap Radio.
Brody's hobbies include reading, writing, photography, eavesdropping and complaining about any temperatures below 65 degrees. You can follow her on Instagram @thebrodybeat.
