All sweepstakes begin at 9:00 AM EST on 8/19/09. Deadlines for entry for each sweepstakes vary as specified below.
All times referenced are Eastern Time. To enter the sweepstakes without a pledge send a 3×5 card with full name, address, phone number, and email address to WBUR, c/o SWEEPSTAKES. One entry per person. All entries must be complete to be eligible. This sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. By entering sweepstakes, entrant consents to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Suffolk County, Massachusetts for resolution of all disputes.
Winner(s) will be selected in a random drawing approximately one month after the end of the fundraiser. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of WBUR and will not be returned. Winners will be notified by phone, mail and/or email. If potential winner(s) cannot be reached after 10 days from first notification attempt, or if an entrant is found to be ineligible, or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such prize will be forfeited. Entrants need not be present to win. Persons affiliated with The WBUR Group are ineligible to win. Winner may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and a receipt. No substitution will be allowed and prizes may not be redeemed for cash or other consideration. The WBUR Group is not responsible or liable for multiple entries completed or entered by other than human means or entries that are late (including delayed data transmissions), tampered with, illegible, mutilated, forged, destroyed, incomplete, garbled, lost, misdirected, mechanically duplicated, mass machine printed, postage-due, or otherwise not in compliance with Official Rules (and such entries will be disqualified). Sweepstakes prizes and deadlines are as follows: (a) Prize is one (1) Roubaix Elite bicycle for a man and one (1) Ruby Elite bicycle for a woman, complete with shoes and helmets, a total value of $5,000, or a $5,000 gift certificate to Wheelworks. Total prize valued at $5,000. All entries must be postmarked by 7:00 PM EST 10/8/09. (b) Prize is one (1) Apple Macbook laptop computer, two (2) iPod nanos, and one (1) laptop carrying case backpack. Total prize valued at $1,940. All entries must be postmarked by 7:00 PM EST on 10/5/09. (c) Prize is round-trip airfare, accommodations and guided tours for two (2) to India valued at $10,000 and one (1) custom rug up to eight (8) by ten (10) feet in size or up to $5,000 in value. Total prize valued at approximately $15,000. All entries must be postmarked by 7:00 PM EST on 10/1/09. (d) Prize is catered lunch for four (4) people at WBUR with Car Talk’s Tom and Ray. Total prize valued at $80. All entries must be postmarked by 1:00 PM EST 10/3/09. (e) Prize is package worth $2,500 for dinner at some of the Boston area’s hottest restaurants. Total prize valued at $2,500. All entries must be postmarked by 6:30 PM EST 10/9/09.
