Deadlines for entry for each sweepstake vary as specified below. A pledge in any amount within these deadlines results in an automatic entry. Subject to applicable sweepstakes rules, members of the Edward R. Murrow Society, WBUR’s major donor group, are automatically entered into all sweepstakes. Winner(s) will be selected in a random drawing approximately one month after the end of the fundraiser. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of WBUR and will not be returned. Winners will be notified by phone, mail and/or email. If a potential winner cannot be reached after 10 days from first notification attempt, or if an entrant is found to be ineligible, or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such prize will be forfeited. Entrants need not be present to win. In the event the winner declines the prize or if the prize is forfeited as stated above, another winner will be selected. Trip must be booked at least ninety (90)-days in advance of departure. To redeem, WBUR will facilitate contact with a Road Scholar representative. The winner must book their reservation through a Road Scholar representative. Travel must be completed by December 31, 2026. Actual value of trip may vary depending on dates of travel, subject to space and availability. Cannot be combined with any other external offers. Any difference between the actual value and the stated prize value will not be compensated in cash or voucher. The trip does not include trip insurance. Any modifications made to the reservation after booking will be at the participant's expense. Should a winner elect to travel solo, any remaining value of a promotional giveaway or credit designated for a second participant shall be forfeited. Furthermore, the provision of solo accommodation for the selected Program shall be subject to the sole discretion and available inventory of Road Scholar. If the actual value of the travel turns out to be less than total prize value set forth below, the difference will not be awarded in cash. Prize is an eight (8)-day, seven (7)-night trip for two (2) people, on a guided bicycle tour: “Bike Across Portugal,” courtesy of ExperiencePlus! (EP!), valued at nine thousand nine hundred ($9,900 USD) dollars. Prize also includes one (1) Christopherson Business Travel (CBT) gift certificate in the amount of four thousand ($4,000 USD) dollars which can be used towards roundtrip airfare from Boston’s Logan Airport, ground travel, and accommodations one day prior to the bicycle tour departure, and after it concludes. EP! will provide the bicycles; seven (7) breakfasts, one (1) lunch, and six (6) dinners; accommodations are as follows, one (1) night at Hotel São João de Deus in Elvas, Portugal; one (1) night at Pousada de Vila Vicosa in Vila Vicosa, Portugal; one (1) night at Vila Planicie in Monsaraz, Portugal; two (2) nights at M’AR de AR Aqueduto in Evora, Portugal; one (1) night at Sobreiras Alentejo Country Hotel in Central Alentejo, Portugal; and one (1) night at HS Milfontes Beach in Vilanova de Milfontes, Portugal. Winner may select from any 2026 “Bike Across Portugal” departure that is not sold out. Travel must be completed by December 31, 2026. EP! requires the winner’s credit card number to be kept on file in the event of cancellation less than fifty-nine (59) days before departure. If the winner becomes unable to travel or cancels less than fifty-nine (59) days before departure, a five hundred ($500 USD) dollars per person cancellation fee will be charged. If the winner cancels less than twenty-nine (29) days before departure, a one thousand ($1,000 USD) dollars per person cancellation fee will be charged. The winner is subject to all other EP! In the event the winner’s preferred tour date is not available, or the dates of the available tour departures are not compatible with the winner's schedule, the winner may select another tour that is of equal or lesser value. No itinerary changes can be made fifty-nine (59) days or less before tour. The Bike Across Portugal trip for two (2) cannot be split nor applied across multiple trips. Space is subject to availability. If the winner travels without a companion, EP! will waive the private room fee. Winner and travel companion must provide their own helmet as one will not be provided. E-Bikes are not included, but are available to rent at an additional fee. All personal charges such as alcoholic beverages, spa services, and internet usage are not included. Prize does not include services and meals not listed specifically in the itinerary, passports, passport fees, or other travel documents, vaccinations where required, or personal expenses such as laundry, medical insurance, and communications. This prize is not eligible for EP! Re-Cycle credits. EP! reserves the right to substitute the trip for one of equal value if the designated Prize should become unavailable for any reason beyond its reasonable control. Winner may need to pay for any departure fees and federal, state, and/or local taxes, fees and surcharges at time of reservation. The Christopherson Business Travel (CBT) gift certificate in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4,000 USD) dollars will be provided by WBUR and can be used toward reserving air travel, ground transfers, hotel accommodations, and/or travel packages, in accordance with CBT’s protocols and guidelines. To redeem the CBT gift certificate, the winner must make travel arrangements through CBT. WBUR will facilitate contact with a CBT representative to assist in booking the reservation. Travel reservations through CBT must be booked by December 31, 2026, and at least fifteen (15)-days before the travel date. The costs of reservations may vary based on travel dates and availability. Any expenses not covered by and/or exceeding the travel gift certificate amount, such as departure fees, taxes, fees, visas, and surcharges, are the winner's responsibility. Additional costs for excursions, insurance, single room supplements, alternate departure airports, business class upgrades, and other expenses are not included and must be covered by the travelers. The travel gift certificate cannot be applied to excursions, meals, gratuities, taxes, or personal expenses. The winner and travel companion must arrange valid passports and necessary documents for international travel. Should the winner cancel after making travel reservations through CBT, a cancellation fee may be incurred. If the amount redeemed turns out to be less than the amount awarded on the gift certificate, the difference will not be awarded in cash. The VIP Pass includes access to Friday and Saturday sessions and activities, fast-pass line access, access to the VIP Lounge with complimentary food and beverage, VIP-only merchandise, and two (2) orchestra seats to see a live production of Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me! on Thursday, May 29, 2025, 7:30 PM at The Boch Center - Wang Theater, located at 2700 Tremont Street in Boston. Tickets for Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me! will be delivered via email at least one hour prior to the show.
