Your Fenway Memories: A No-Hitter; 'I'm Pregnant'; A Moon Landing

Ahead of Fenway Park's centennial celebration tomorrow, our newsroom has been looking back at the history of the park and the Red Sox. And, for the last month, we've been asking you to share your lasting Fenway memories to populate our interactive graphic.

We've gotten some great contributions — from historic on-the-field moments to simpler memories of enjoying the park with loved ones. Two people recalled the team's great Impossible Dream run of 1967. Two people recalled Clay Buccholz's no-hitter in 2007. Two people even recalled the Fenway reaction to the Apollo 11 moon landing on July 20, 1969.

More than anything else I was amazed at how GREEN it was! Our family's black and white TV had not prepared me for the beauty of the field, and I've never outgrown that awestruck feeling.

"Dad, we have to go on the field." Well we did.

During "Sweet Caroline" my wife turned to me and said, plainly, "I'm pregnant."

We'd pack a picnic lunch and go sit in the bleachers for $2.

"Bridgie, you should watch now, he's pitching...shhhh...a no-hitter." She perked up. "That's a big deal, isn't it?"

Fenway Park holds a very special place in our hearts as my husband and I met there at a Texas Rangers game May 31, 1985, and we will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this December.
