Senate Republicans may be looking to open up Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling. There's a provision in the budget resolution that instructs the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee to come up with $1 billion in revenue in order to pay for the Republican tax overhaul.

One way to produce that revenue is to drill for oil in ANWR. Here & Now's Jeremy Hobson talks about the politics of ANWR with Liz Ruskin (@lruskin) of Alaska Public Media.

This segment aired on October 5, 2017.
