BOSTON, Mass. - September 15, 2006 - As the political spotlight continues to shine on the gubernatorial race, the candidates for lieutenant governor continue to crisscross the state in hopes of drawing attention and drumming up votes. Given that recent polls show that more than half of potential voters have yet to decide on a candidate, there are plenty of votes up for grabs.

Worcester Mayor Tim Murray is hoping to change that over the next few days. The Worcester native was elected to the city council in 1997 and is currently serving his third term as mayor. He previously worked as a substitute teacher, advocate for homeless families, and as an attorney.
