Candidate Profile: Christy Mihos
By Martha Bebinger
Listen to story (Real Audio)
BOSTON - October 23, 2006 - Independent gubernatorial candidate Christy Mihos is drawing attention in the race for governor, though not enough support to be considered a front-runner.
The West Yarmouth resident made millions from the sale of Christy's convenience stores, and made a name for himself on the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority Board.
He has not cracked 10 percent in the polls, but his irreverent style and aggressive critique of Republican candidate Kerry Healey are making him a factor.
WBUR's Martha Bebinger has a profile.
