MA Gov. Race: The Final Weekend
Listen to story (Real Audio)
BOSTON, Mass. - November 06, 2006 - One more day is all that remains before voters decide who'll become the next governor of Massachusetts. The latest poll, released Sunday by the Statehouse News Service, shows Democrat Deval Patrick still commanding a large lead.
Patrick has 51 percent of the respondents, described as registered voters, while Republican Kerry Healey has 27 percent. On the last weekend before Tuesday's election, the candidates tramped the campaign trail, with last minute appeals to the voters.
We'll have reports from both campaigns starting with WBUR's Fred Thys, who's covering Deval Patrick and then with WBUR's Monica Brady-Myerov, who's reporting on Kerry Healey.
