(AP) BOSTON, Mass. - May 01, 2008 - In far northern Maine along the Canadian border, some 600 people are evacuated and more than 100 homes are flooded in Fort Kent because of heavy rains and melting snow. The Saint John River is five feet above flood stage, and officials say the region is looking at its worst flooding in more than 100 years. We speak to Vern Oullette with the Maine Emergency Management Agency in Aroostook County. Locally, there is minor flooding along some parts of the Connecticut River in Massachusetts, due to this week's rains.
