City Limits Workers' Use of Cars

BOSTON, Mass. - June 27, 2008 - Facing tight city and town budgets and gas prices at around four dollars a gallon, some Massachusetts communities are trying to get the vehicles they own off the road, particularly after hours.
They're telling municipal workers that they can no longer take official cars home. But in some places city and town employees are pushing back, saying the vehicles are necessary.
