As if anyone needed the reminder on a wet and soggy Thursday afternoon, summer is sadly coming to an end. The good news is that with the arrival of autumn comes a host of exciting new art exhibitions across the Boston area.

Less than a year after the Museum of Fine Arts unveiled its Arts of the Americas wing the museum is now preparing to open its new Linde Family Wing for Contemporary Art. Meanwhile, the Institute of Contemporary Art will be celebrating its 75th anniversary, not to mention its five-year mark at its new home on the Boston waterfront, with an array of special exhibitions beginning this month.

Sebastian Smee, the Pulitzer Prize-winning arts critic for The Boston Globe, stops by Radio Boston to talk about which exhibitions he's looking forward to in the fall.
