A lot has been going on in Massachusetts' 3rd District lately.

The district includes the city of Lawrence and the town of Andover. They're among the three communities, along with North Andover, hit by those terrifying gas explosions last week that killed one person and injured dozens more while sparking fires in some 80 buildings.

It's also where the chaotic and closely contested Democratic congressional primary was finally settled in favor Lori Trahan, who will face Republican Rick Green in November.

The winner of that race will replace outgoing Rep. Niki Tsongas, who is retiring at the end of the current term. Tsongas discusses the latest coming out of the 3rd District, as well as the upcoming midterm elections, sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, and her time in office.

Guest

Rep. Niki Tsgonas, U.S. Representative for Massachusetts' 3rd District. She tweets @nikiinthehouse.

This segment aired on September 19, 2018.
