Consider This: Boston Schools Desegregation, Then And Now

08:38

Nearly 50 years after the Boston’s infamous busing crisis, the pain from court-ordered school desegregation lingers — and the public school system itself remains intensely segregated.

Now, as the city looks to elect a new mayor, and possibly bring back an elected school committee, some hope things could finally change for the better.

Consider This cohost Paris Alston speaks with GBH education reporter Meg Woolhouse.

This segment aired on October 6, 2021.
