Consider This: Rapid COVID tests in Boston are in short supply

Rapid antigen tests are having a moment.

The at-home tests for detecting COVID-19 are now recommended by the CDC before people attend indoor gatherings and the federal government is working out a plan for insurance companies to reimburse people who buy them.

But while the city of Boston plans to distribute tens of thousands of them in vulnerable neighborhoods, the tests are in short supply, and some experts say not enough is being done to make them more available.
