WBUR wins four 2022 regional Murrow Awards

The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) has announced the 2022 winners of the regional Edward R. Murrow Awards honoring outstanding achievement in broadcast and digital journalism. WBUR is the proud recipient of four regional Murrow awards this year.

Murrow Award-winning work demonstrates the excellence that Edward R. Murrow made a standard for the profession. WBUR was recognized in these categories:

· Excellence in Sound: ‘Time to cut losses’: Inside the final days of a Boston restaurant

· Hard News: Boston police arrested a Black man having a stroke. After $1.3 million payout, it's unclear if anything's changed

· News Documentary: On Point, The Chauvin Trial: A look back at 1992 LA and America since Rodney King

· News Series: Pandemic Generation, a series funded in part by a grant from the NIHCM Foundation

As a regional award winner, WBUR will advance to the national Edward R. Murrow Awards competition. National winners, including large and small digital news organizations and network news organizations, will be announced later this year.
