Caleb Green
Broadcast Recording Technician
Caleb is a Broadcast Recording Technician at WBUR. He’s a utility player in the production department and works from either a mixing booth or an on-air console, often working on shows like Here & Now, Morning Edition, and On Point.
Caleb has been a Boston-area musician and audio engineer since he was a high school student. He grew up in Harvard, Massachusetts as a go-to local live sound engineer and guitarist, focusing primarily on jazz, rock, and roots music. Caleb went on to earn his degree in Music Business and Film Scoring as a guitar principal at Berklee College of Music. While in college he refined his trade as an audio engineer and producer by taking a two year apprenticeship at Plaid Dog Recording.
Prior to working at WBUR he was a guitar teacher to students of all ages. During the summer months he worked as a live sound engineer at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston. He also operated a small multimedia studio called Tackle Room Productions where he recorded music, engineered audiobooks, and scored soundtracks. He continues to perform, write, and record music with his bands and on his own as a guitarist and composer.
When not working on music he can be found waist deep in the ocean fly fishing for striped bass with his father, hours before Morning Edition airs. When not obsessively calculating his next fishing trip, he is playing with his cat Winslow, experimenting with coffee gear, cooking with his lovely girlfriend, tinkering on his car, or lending a hand on fun and creative construction projects at his parent’s house.
