Former Staff

Caroline Llanes was an associate producer for WBUR’s Morning Edition.

Though she’s originally from San Diego, she got her start in public media at Michigan Radio. There, she covered anything and everything Michigan related, whether that was the nitty gritty of local government or the vast and varied ecosystem of the Great Lakes. She also contributed to the station’s coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic, looking at contact tracing, strain on local health departments and school safety.

Caroline graduated from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) with a bachelor's degree in history. There, she was also a coxswain for the men’s rowing team and held various roles at The Michigan Daily.

When she’s not at work, she enjoys hiking, the Detroit Red Wings, making homemade pizza dough and skiing of both the downhill and Nordic varieties. She lives in Allston with her tuxedo cat, Pepper.
