Hesse Phillips, a writer living in Spain, was a finalist in the 2022 Irish Writers Centre's international Novel Fair, and their winning historical novel "Lightborne," about the last days of Christopher Marlowe, was published this year by Pegasus Books. They have a PhD in Drama from Tufts University and are a graduate of GrubStreet Boston's Novel Incubator program.
