Karl Voelker was WBUR's executive director of engineering, operations and IT.

Karl joined the WBUR engineering team as network administrator in July of 1998. He was involved in all aspects of the information technology developments at WBUR. He provided IT and telecommunication support for the WBUR offices and also for remote broadcasts, including support for multiple presidential conventions.

Karl was promoted to manager of information systems in November of 2011, director of engineering operations in January 2015 and most recently, director of engineering, infrastructure, operations and IT.
