On the whole, climate experts agree: Cities play a key role when it comes to addressing climate change.

Brian Swett is director of Cities and Sustainable Real Estate for Arup, a global engineering and consulting firm with offices here in Boston. He's also the former chief of energy, environment and open space for the city under Mayor Thomas Menino. (We spoke with the current chief here.)

While the international community meets in Paris for the U.N. Climate Change Conference, Swett joined WBUR's Morning Edition to explain the importance of cities in the context of climate change.

This segment aired on December 3, 2015.
