Governor Given Control of Big Dig

The answer to the question, "who's in charge?" of the Big Dig, has taken a dramatic turn.

Governor Mitt Romney yesterday filed a proposal to take control of the Big Dig and before the day was out the House and Senate, in an unusual, bi-partisan move, gave him near unanimous approval.

The governor's plan included another push to oust Turnpike Authority Chairman Matt Amorello, but that part did not pass.
