Big Dig Traffic

State transportation officials are taking steps to ease traffic around Boston after Labor Day.

At a Turnpike Authority meeting this morning, board members discussed several plans to keep traffic moving as people return from summer vacations.

The big dig tunnel closures caused by the fatal ceiling collapse in July have clogged some roadways.

The Turnpike is encouraging people to use public transportation and the MBTA is adding service.
