Kennedy/Chase Senate Debate

Senator Edward Kennedy faced his Republican opponent Ken Chase in a debate this morning. It's the only scheduled debate between the political newcomer and 44 year incumbent Senator.

During the half hour debate Chase accused Kennedy of not doing enough to curb the United States' dependence on oil.

This is the first time Chase, a Belmont language school owner, has run for office.

Senator Kennedy has held his seat since 1962.

This program aired on October 10, 2006. The audio for this program is not available.
