Marketing Ploy Causes Security Concerns

Police were called to several locations throughout Boston on Wednesday, where people had reported discovering suspicious devices.

Those devices were later found to be advertisements for a guerilla marketing campaign.

Turner Broadcasting has taken full responsibility for the pranks. They say they were a part of an ad campaign for their program "Aqua Teen Hunger Force".

At a news conference, Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino said they would consider what legal steps should be taken to punish those responsible.

This program aired on January 31, 2007. The audio for this program is not available.
