New Cultural Center in Roxbury

A new cultural center is coming to Roxbury.

Mayor Thomas Menino announced today that land known as "parcel 3" on the corner of Tremont and Ruggles Streets, has been tentatively awarded to the Elma Lewis Partners for development.

Plans for the site include a home for the Museum for the National Center for Afro-American Artists, performance space, residential units and renovation of the Whittier Street Health Center.
